UC Berkeley Transfer Thread 2018

Anyone had their 2 addresses increase to 4 now?
I’m student-type-not registered,
no Admit Tour message
no SIR Payment

@lovela my buddy is in all the same groups but those are the only differences between our accounts

@istudy I would say it’s easier to begin inputting and have it basically expire, delete, or not execute than having to wait. Berkeley yields a high percentage of applicants who were offered admission. Now apply that logic when dealing with thousands of students. I guess we will see later…

I know that after you transfer, you have to actually declare your major again to Cal in order to actually be in the major you first applied to. Which is pretty funny…

@Sanla124 ahh okay, just wanted to make sure! I definitely wanted to take a summer class anyway, was just hoping it would be attached to a degree eventually haha

@justtransfer417 same! thats why i think it MAY be an indicator. why would ucb’s system put people who arent accepted in the undergrad groups, but also the sample size way too tiny to judge but it gives us something to speculate about!

Haha I feel you @justtransfer417

in the CalNet (not CalGroup) do you guys have any groups in the My Groups section

Make sure once you guys get your decisions, you post your stats and whichever conspiracy worked or didn’t work

@lovela I get soooooo nervous about calling anything an “indicator” (I really don’t want my hopes up and then ripped down) but this and the SIR payment option seem pretty indicative to me. Either way, we will find out TODAY and I am def gonna post my decision related to these theories lol

I don’t see a “see full statement” thingy

@iStudy nope! Had to click to get to them
Via calnet, same way I had to see other stuff that doesnt immediately post on calcentral. I think they block that from notifying on calcentral until after admissions but upload it to calnet beforehand in preparation? Maybe? Idk

@lovela I agree. It’s way more plausible than “2-4-2” or “new admit tours” which seem to be bugs. Now you’re beginning to organize data.

I don’t have any groups on CalCentral.

@istudy I don’t see another group section in Calnet unless you click on the name and group info link

@rock53 go to my finances > view acct details > filter: balance (and change to all transactions)

Go click on activate calnet Id, once you’re there expand the information (should be your name, email, and the PRESIR or STUDENT-TYPE-NOTREGISTERED info) and click “see groups” (or something like that) where it then links you to another page with all the group info

when you go to check your SIR right now is the page not loading for anyone else?

@justtransfer417 dude same loool i had all these things

  1. 2-4-2 address change
  2. new admit tours (now gone)
  3. in undergrad groups in calgroups.

but, my status is student-type-not registered and i did not have a SIR deposit (which may be from having a UC fee waiver). i’ll post my decision tomorrow so people can see my decision in relation to the theories too!!

We discussed this earlier but a lot of us are thinking of creating a spreadsheet after decisions come out, about different stats and conspiracies! I think c/o 2021 will love it
