i applied as a freshman to UC Berkeley (rejected as expected)

and i will be reapplying as a junior transfer student from a CC.

I want to know if they will still have my information/application/etc.

I'm not afraid of hiding anything its just that I remember having log in issues, and all these computer difficulties and I want a fresh new start with my application as a transfer.

Does anyone know for sure if Berkeley keeps a record of application of a rejected person? lol Thanks guys

no, i understand that it doesn't count for anything. but i was just wondering if they still have our records. to be honest i'm just paranoid for no good reason and wondering if they have any record at all..

heres my worst (unlikely) nightmare

they want to accept my berkeley application, but then see that one of my extracurriculars dont match what i wrote in high school

or that, they're about to accept me, but decide not to bc i write other instead of white on my application..and they get suspicious..

OK FINE i'm a paranoid person, but does anyone know for sure if they keep our record??? lol

stop stressing!!! You will get into Berkeley.

Seriously, taking the initiative to post and ask questions on CC shows you are serious about your education and transfer goals. Point being, I'll be adding you on facebook a year from now. =]

when you apply as a tranfer. how many years of extracurricular activities does the UC application allow you to list?

You can download a paper application and take a look. It limits the total number of things that you can list; you could choose to fill the list entirely with activities from ninth grade, but they recommend that you prioritize, filling the space with your most recent activities. Of course, if you have done a particular EC from ninth grade to your first year of community college, it is considered recent and would be good to list.

Well, I just have a quick question. What if I want to transfer into one of the UC Schools, I'm going to be a sophomore in fall but I am not a California Resident. Does that mean, my chances of getting in are low?

youre chances are very low if you're out of state, unless you stand out. but trust that if you have the same GPA and similiar stats as a california community college student, they'll take the CC student. but it probably depends on the UC you're trying for. LA and Berkeley are suppose to be the hardest to transfer into...

I think I remember someone saying that when they reapplied as a transfer they were given the same application ID, so I guess they still have you in there somewhere.

my major is political economy of industrial societies....hopefully it wont be too hard since the major isn't exactly like econ, engineering, or business at haas, etc...

then again, its not exactly unpopular either.
