UC Chances

Hello,

So I am a 25 year old male who initially attended CC right out of high school in 2008 but things didn’t go so well. I started to severely lose focus and my grades reflected. I ended up stopping in 2011 with a 1.83 ( which I was so embarrassed about) and after about four years of random life events I went back to a different CC and decided to get everything back on track. I have managed to bring my Cumulative GPA up to a 2.57 with one more semester to finish before transferring. I have also had some of my previous bad grades reversed. I have always dreamed of going to UCLA for communications which I know I would do great at now that I am older and more focused. On the application I wrote a moving personal statement and explained my full time work while full time student details. My GPA solely at my current institution is a 3.35, but all together it goes down :frowning:

Do you think they will somehow look at my improvements and the hard work I have done and overlook my Cumulative GPA to somehow admit me?

I would post in the UC transfer thread regarding your questions.

Here is a link to the UCLA transfer stats by major last year. I hope it helps.
