I applied to UC Berkeley with my intended major being Mechanical engineering. Will changing my intended major to Engineering sciences- Environmental hurt my application.
Please help. Any insight will be helpful
It is not published which majors in the UCB College of Engineering are more or less selective.
Note that if you want to complete an ABET-accredited program (a prerequisite for Professional Engineer licensing that is needed for many jobs working in infrastructure), the civil engineering department has environmental (“provide solutions for safe air quality and drinking water, waste management and cleaning up contamination or hazardous wastes”) as a subarea.
