UC credits

Alright so I'm planning on transferring and all. One question that I have is for the 90 credit(quarter) rule. If I complete 90 credits of UC courses based on the assist.org website, do I qualify to be eligible to get in a UC school? Or do those 90 credits HAVE to be applicable to my degree or GE? And what if the particular UC doesn't have a particular course? For example I've noticed that my CC offers intro C++ classes that are UC transferable but UCSD doesn't seem to have equavalent classes to that, they require intro java classes which I'm also taking.

My question is that if I were to transfer to UCSD will the C++ courses not count towards UCSD bringing my UC credit count down or does it not matter and as long as I finish the appropriate number of UC credits I should be good?

Thanks!

It doesn’t matter what class it is. They will count every class you took, regardless if the specific UC offers something similar or not. Just complete 90 quarter units or 60 semester units at your cc, keeping in mind you do have to complete major required courses and the 7 course pattern that are required for admission.
