So i'm going to apply for TAG for UC Davis, and I still have yet to take a bunch of the classes. (Chemistry 1A/B/C and Calculus A/B) If on the TAG in the "my courses" section, I put that I am planning to take these classes this summer/next year, can my TAG still be approved?

I apologize if my question was unclear.

I’m not sure for UCD but for Santa Cruz but I was missing two classes for IGETC and listed them as In Progress and they sent me a conditional TAG agreement. Basically I had to get a C or above in each class and maintain a 3.0+ GPA.

Each school is different though. Last year, I found out all my info by just googling.

thanks for your input!

can anyone else offer more advice?

Yes, you can still have your TAG approved if you’re missing a bunch of classes. When I applied for TAG in Fall 2010, I still had classes to take in spring and summer of 2011, and my TAG was approved, but I had a conditional TAG agreement saying I had to pass all my planned courses with a C or better. (and I’m now at UC Davis as a Fall 2011 transfer admit)

TAG for UC Davis just states that you need to have “complete all required coursework stated below by the end of spring 2012.” (they didn’t change the dates for some reason), so yes you are fine as listing them as planned/in progress.

My TAG was approved for Davis and I will be attending this fall. Unless something has changed, you cannot submit a TAG application until Sept. So at that time you would enter all classes you have taken up to then, including any classes you take this summer, and you pit “in progress” for classes you are taking in the fall and “planned” for classes planned for the spring. You submit you TAG application in Sept and you will hear back in Nov 2012 for fall 2013.

aye man,
not sure if u researched yo sh1t but unless youre choosing a selective major
you dont need to finish those chem series,

just the regular UC admission requirements, which are the english, math social science etc…

let me know if u need to know more in detail about the uc admission subject requirements

How many of the pre-requisites you have to finish to get your TAG approved is dependent on your major. Usually you just have to show reasonable progress with at least a B or higher in a specific course(s) and a C or higher in other pre-requisites. Typically you don’t have to have all of your pre-reqs finished by the time you apply for TAG, but still can get approved if you have a determined portion completed with certain grades. Then you’re required to finish a determined number of pre-reqs in spring with a certain GPA to for your TAG to be validated after admission. I could be more specific about what pre-reqs/GPA, but you didn’t specify your major. Regardless, all the information is available on UC Davis’ website.

Hey everyone, I’m a transfer to UCD. Does anyone know the best housing? I don’t care how many roommates, I juts really want space, maybe a common living area, and a private bathrooom between my roommates and I.

you’re hijacking the thread (and if I’m reading correctly it says transfers can only live in Primero Grove residential housing), but look at these links
