UC Davis :)

Hey! So I was wondering if I could possibly get some input on my waitlist essay?
Thanks!

As a senior applying to colleges, I believe that UC Davis is the right choice for me. Due to my strong passion for biology and chemistry, I know that UC Davis will offer me many opportunities for research, community outreach, and study abroad. The Biological Sciences programs at Davis are well known for their extensive laboratory research. The BUSP is another excellent environment for me to conduct research with highly regarded scientists. The NAIST will allow me to gain and share valuable knowledge. I plan to take full advantage of all the resources available at UC Davis. In high school, I founded the Chemical Collision Club where students can learn more about chemistry and biology. If given the opportunity to attend UC Davis, I plan to enrich the campus by creating similar clubs for fellow students interested in pursuing science as a career. My goal in life is to provide medical care for the underprivileged, and I firmly believe that UC Davis will offer me a strong foundation in my learning prior to entering the medical field. This is why UC Davis is my top choice. Thank you for your time, and I look forward to attending UC Davis.

200 words limit - 199 words right now.

It sounds good

Should I write out what BUSP and NAIST stands for? Or should I leave it at that? I assume that it is their school and that they should know what their program is called… But would it be better to right out the full names of BUSP and NAIST?

I think you should just leave the abbreviation, I mean they should already be familiar with what it means. Writting out the whole meaning would prolong your essay meaning you would have to cut out other parts so it does not go over the limit.

Okay, thanks! Can anyone else give his/her input? It’d be greatly appreciated! I’d like to turn it in as soon as possible~ Thanks!

I’m turning in the short answer today! Does anyone else care to comment on my answer? Thanks!
