Is it true that one cannot have more than 26 units of community college credits while in high school in order to qualify as a freshman admission? Otherwise they will only consider you as a transfer admission. Can someone shed some light on this matter. Thanks.

Try posting this on UC subforum of the Transfer Student forum and someone there will likely be able to help you out.

You'd apply as a freshman. The UC states that if you've attended a college/university after high school graduation then you will be considered a Transfer Applicant, regardless of units taken.

If the last school of attendance was high school(or if you're still in high school) you'd apply for freshman admissions, regardless of how many units you've taken at community college. I imagine when you get to a UC, they'll accept your credits, but basically you'd apply as a freshman.

A girl in my high school graduated from community college with an AA and high school at the same time, and she applied to the UC's as a freshman, and they placed her in junior standing once she got there because of all her units that transferred in.

have you tried looking on the admission site of a UC school? The question is answered right there when it talks about who can apply as a freshman. I just checked UCLA's site, they answer it. So does the UC overall site
