Im applying for transfer but im not sure if Ill be finishing my GEs at my current school or not by the end of spring quarter. Im currently waiting on a review of my transcripts because they didnt give me credit for a course that i think shouldve been credited for. If they do approve the course, then i would probably be able to finish my GEs (90% sure) but if they don't approve the course then i dont think i have enough time to finish my GEs.

So for the application should i check that I am expecting to finish my GEs or that im expecting not to finish my GEs?

When will they let you know?

Thats a problem, the admissions office is usually pretty slow so it would take at least 4-6 weeks to find out but maybe even more and i was planning on submitting the application around Nov 20ish

Could you take it during the summer, and include it in the additional comments? I would put not going to just in case, don’t want something simple to ruin chances. Also what is the major? that usually plays a big role. Some majors say to work on prereq instead of GE.

How is it that you are unsure on if you get credit for a class that you took? Was the class UC transferable at the time that you took it? Did you complete that class with a grade equal to or higher than a C?

I don’t think i could retake it because i havent touched the french language in almost 4 years already. I checked the class on assist.org and at most uc’s it qualifies for the same class (the other uc’s just didnt have any classes on assist.org to compare it to, but im guessing that it would still qualify for the same class).

I took French 102A which was supposed to be French 3 and i got a B in it, so i’m expecting the credits after I applied for a review of my transfer transcript. I’m not sure when theyll credit it to me and there’s always a chance that they won’t credit me.

I still don’t understand how there would be any question as to the transferability if the class was UC transferable at the time that you took the class and that you passed it. You passed it. It most UC’s accept the class as transferable then those and only those are the schools that will accept it.

What school are you coming from and where are you looking to for transferring? So I can take a look on assist because your answer still leaves me super confused and so now I’m curious.

oh its because i had no idea that I had these credits until this summer, after i finished a summer class. The class credits was actually given to me in fall 2008, but i didnt know they were there until i checked my transcript after my summer stats class. So i sent a copy of my transcript to the admissions office at my school (ucsc) and they gave me credits for the statistics class but they might’ve passes on the french course because it was from 2008 and they might’ve thought that i had already received credits for it when i didnt. So right now im applied for them to take a second look at my transcript to give me those credits, but im not sure if they will or not.

I’m not sure how it works with a UC but at my CC when transferring credit it shows how many classes and credits I have for that CC and then it shows just credits earned from a different CC. And a total of all units accumulated.
Would it show on your unofficial transcript online?
