is this saying that no extra gpa points are rewarded for say, Alg 2 H, Eng 2 H, Chem H, Anatomy H?
This is pretty disappointing, I almost feel like taking those courses as honors was a waste of time and energy.
Not to mention I feel as if my chances at the UC's just completely diminished. Would have been much better off taking those courses as regular.

Unfortunately for the UC’s, very few High School honors classes are considered Honors with the extra grade point. My older son took Honors Bio and English which did not qualify. The only class at his school that qualified was Honors Pre-Calc. What about AP classes?? How many do you have since you only need a total of 4 year long AP classes 10th and 11th grade to get the maximum 8 Honors points for the UC GPA?

I’ve got 4 AP’s between sophomore and junior year, plus Precalc H. According to some calculator I did online, it gave me a 3.6 or something as my GPA. Are you familiar with calculating UC GPA?

Yes, I am familiar with calculating UC GPA. If you have 4 AP’s for your Soph and Junior year, you can input the 8 extra Honors points for your Weighted UC GPA. If you did that and your UC GPA is 3.6, then that is what you report on your UC application. I do not know what your SAT/ACT or EC’s, but a 3.6 would probably get you into UCR and UCM plus several Cal States.
