My school counselor told me that UCs are going to use 10th and 11th grade GPA only. Witch is 3.8 GPA is this right ? What should I do ? Because in 12th grade ima take 2 AP classes and I wanted to take some classes in LACC TO Boost up my gpa can I do that ?

just tell me if UCs are going to look at my 9th grade GPA ? and if they are going to use it to calculate my UC gpa or just 10 and 11 ? ples someone ples ima begging :/

Just 10 & 11 for calculating 'UC gpa", but admissions readers will “look” at Frosh grades because they are on the application. Senior grades are too late.

Your UC gpa is 3.68 (15 A’s, and 7 B’s, assuming Into Art is not a Frosh class). Otherwise, it’s 13 A’s and 7 B’s, or 3.65.

btw: Honors Chem might earn a bonus point, but you’ll need to look up your school on doorways

Therefore, your grade total is 17A + 5 B (two of your Bs are upgraded b/c of HChem), so your UC weighted GPA is 174 + 53 /22,

which is 3.77.

Assuming you did fine on the SAT and 2 subject tests, that GPA matches well to Santa Cruz and Riverside, and is a slight reach for UCI/UCSB/UCD.

Which UCs did you apply to?

Oh, any class taken starting in 12 grade is not seen, reviewed, or counted by UC admissions until the school you accepted reviews your final transcript in July to determine if you met the conditions of your March conditional admission (no Fs, Ds,), etc. Starting in Sept. Sr. year, there isn’t anything you can do to change your UC GPA. It is frozen at the end of summer after Jr. year.

P.S., per the same link above for John Marshall High, there is no such thing as Honors Algebra. Did you perhaps mean Honors Math Analysis? If so, your grades become 19A, 3 B, as Honors Math Analysis is another +1 approved course.

sorry its Honors Algebra 2 . Ok so you guys see i have 2 Honor classes, Chemistry and Algebra 2 and i got B on them for the 1st semester, does that mean does B’s are A’s ?

and thank you vvvveerrrryyy much for posting the replys i F’in love you guys <333333

I believe only Honors Chemistry on your schedule would get an extra point. Only an honors/AP course for Pre-Cal (aka Math Analysis) and beyond would get an extra point in the math section.

and no one is going to help you if you’ve got an attitude like that.

As a current UCR student, I think it is best for you to consider that last year, Senior grades were being considered. You must do well every year to be accepted because UCR is much more competitive now. If you are admitted, you should be aware your admission is provisional. This means, if you receive any D’s or F’s on your official transcript for your last semester your admissions has a great chance of being cancelled.

Well, UCR has had a record number of applicants this year, many of whom are exceptional students. They only calculate the Sophomore and Junior years, however, that is the only way to try and admit the best of the best is to consider everything.
