I applied to all UC campuses. Merced emailed me to check my portal around 1 am pacific time. don’t know how it works for irvine, but I’ve encountered some bizarre timing by other UC campuses. @KDurham
Are you OOS? (I am)

@spiderwoman Yep OOS
From my experiences, for UCs, admission decisions could come after business hours. (or even a holiday; Riverside emailed me on a Saturday)
But again, it’s hard to talk on behalf of UC Irvine admissions. All I can say is that there is indeed a possibility.
Wish you good luck! Hope you’re enjoying your senior year and not stressing out to the point of malfunctioning like I am @KDurham
Seemed like UCI had some difficulties or something of the sort based off of last year’s C/O 2018, hopefully it won’t be the same for us.
@reducto what were they?
@KDurham Not sure but in the 2014 thread lot of people were complaining about the way they released the acceptances or something of the sort. Didn’t really give a thorough read.
Quick question, what does OOS mean?
Hi all,
I am very anxious about the upcoming months. Can someone look at my stats any see whether i have a chance to get into UCs
I am CC student currently. I had 1 F which I retake with A, and 3 W (2 W in last Fall) . Here is my stats
Major: Chemistry B.S
GPA: 3.18 at the time of Application after an update.
IGETC: Will be completed in this Spring
Pre-requisites: Will complete all in this Spring, but 2 MATH (Differential Equations , Linear) & 3 Physics
Applied: UCD, UCSD, UCSB, UCSC, UCI
Accepted : Waiting
@imjennah OOS- Out of State
Okay thank you ^^ being in state gives you an advantage over oos or is that a rumor?
@imjennah since UCs are public they prioritize California Residents I believe
Supposedly being in state have advantage over OOS students since the parents paid taxes. However UCs are desperate for funds (http://www.news10.net/story/news/education/2015/03/04/university-of-california-capping-enrollment-for-in-state-students/24404031/) . So they are more willing to accept OOS students as compared to In State students.
I applied for UCI Business Admin, which i know is really impacted, but i also applied to Korean Language and culture…they consider my 2nd major if i dont get into my firs5, correct…i heard to get into business admin you have to have high stats…
@imjennah I applied to Korean Lang and Culture too //high fives It was my first choice though ;3
I feel like switching it to first choice :3 really love it
I applied as Computer Science for first choice .-.
Im getting anxious cause i applied Business admin first choice and its highly competitive, I really hope they consider my 2nd choice major of Korean Lang and Culture before they decide to reject me ;~; its my dream school, I feel like I have a good chance cause im a top applicant for UCSB but based on last years thread I just dont know
@imjennah well if you’ve got high stats and you’re confident, i wouldn’t worry about it.
I have high stats for my 2nd major, and average for the first, so I think ills be good
OOS people, did you hear back?
