***UC Irvine Class of 2020 Admissions Results/Stats Discussion***

According to multiple sources, the admissions decisions for UCI incoming freshmen will be announced “early March (rolling thereafter).” In past years, however, notifications typically began around mid-March. Did UCI say “early March” just for show, or do they actually have plans of notifying applicants within the next few days?

@xyz789 “Future graduating classes on College Confidential take note: when UCI Admissions say decisions are released randomly, they are not telling the truth. There has been a pattern for the past few years, and it is CHP>InState>OOS>Waitlists>Rejections>Mostly Rejections.”

Does UC schools super score the SAT’s? My highest set is 1880 and my superscore is 1950. Weighted GPA 4.0/4.0. What are my chances?

UC’s take the highest score from one sitting so no super scoring.

@Sgt_Pato I understand that. But what I am asking is, will notifications begin “early March” like they say it will, or will it start later like mid-March?

@xyz789 probably mid March, because they have said the same on past years, but they always start mid March.

@andyv123 I would totally admit you if I was an admissions officer

@veggiern Thanks! I just got rejected from cal poly slo, so I’ve been kind of worried about the UC’s I applied to.

@andyv123 I was denied from SLO too so let’s see what the UC’s have in store for us.

FYI I am a CHP (stats posted in an earlier post) and I received my packet in the mail today with my UCI official acceptance certificate and stickers, etc. Still waiting on the other UCs I applied to. Heard SB is coming out soon. Good luck everyone!

Is 1880 a bad score?

@Fiona1997 Depends on the school. It’s a pretty decent score and for UCI you’re at around the 75th percentile, so you should be fine especially when combined with GPA and extracurriculars. For more competitive schools, you might be ranked a bit lower.

@shaneli1020 thank you! I applied to UCI UCD UCSB and UCLA.

@shaneli1020
Which school would you prefer/hope to go to?

Hi guys-- will we get an email notification about the decision? Or should we just go check by ourselves

@veggiern
Don’t worry. My daughter got accepted to all of the cal state schools she applied to, except SLO. We expect her to get into UC Irvine and maybe Santa Barbara
