I was wondering what if one of the TAG required classes is not offered at my community college. I also checked for another local college and apparently they don’t offer it after spring anymore since the class is not in high demand. I already sent an email to them. Do u guys know what will happen?
Yes, but only if you applied to regular admissions and TAG. That’s why it’s recommended that you still apply to regular admissions, just in case your TAG gets denied.

Then what’s the whole point of TAG… like does the G mean nothing then?
I’m so confused I applied as business econ should I call them or something because as of rn I’m feeling so stressed
i heard that uci releases in very small waves so dont rely on the first wave. a lot of students are going through TAG and i heard they might roll out tmr too on a saturday so u might wanna check that
@sadstemstudent ughh this is so frustrating, we’ve been waiting so long and were under the impression that we had all the requirements hope everything works out because this was my safe school too…
@mashedpotatones this might be a lil corny from me lol but try to keep your head above the water. if u 1000% sure that u have all the requirements then stick to it. if something bad happens, u can always appeal or talk to them directly. as long as youre honest with yourself u should be fine.

Actually I heard you cant appeal TAG right? WHich is weird because TAG is super objective and should be appealed if a mistake was made
if a TAG gets rejected you’re automatically in the regular decision pile. and the regular decision pile is everyone who submitted just the UC app and doesn’t have H2H
If you did tag you would’ve specifically completed a TAG form separate from your application and chose the school you were tagging. But if you only tagged then you’re saying you forgot to apply?
Another note, I agree with people saying it’s unjust that TAGs are getting declined. And, if it is declined, there should explicitly be a given explanation for each individual. I didn’t TAG irvine (I tagged UCSB) but I hope we all hear back soon and that everyone gets admitted!
@icantCsharp you can’t tag AND apply for regular admission. If you TAG and are denied you are automatically enrolled into regular admission and may get in that way.
And you cannot appeal a denied TAG.
Woops you’re right . Sorry , I thought I heard somewhere that you should apply to both.
Wait I applied for both, I thought you had to apply during the regular admissions process in order for your TAG to be valid
