Anyone else accepted to UCI Nursing? Just wanted to meet my future classmates...

Anyways, some information - so when people look for UCI Nursing related stuff in the future, they have more information than I did when I applied.
[ul]
[]It is highly selective and impacted. 85 people were selected, out of 1,592 applicants. That's 5.3%. UCI has a 45% admission rate.
[]If you were selected to be as a nursing major, you are in the school! No need to reapply during your sophomore year (assuming you make the minimum 3.0 GPA).
[]No stats on male:female ratio - though judging from the pictures, it's like 1:9 (sorry girls).
[]It is a relatively new school - I want to say it was started in 2006. That DOES NOT make it a bad school.
[]It is possible to do CHP and Nursing at the same time. It's a slightly different course plan, because the HumCore from CHP will kill a lot of your requirements at once.
[]The first two years, you take your prerequisites with everyone from UCI - premeds, prevets, and other nursing students.
[]Something like 40 people are still in the program by the time you start taking the actual nursing classes during your Junior year. The rest either transfer to a different school, or switch their major.
[]Clinicals start during the second semester of your Junior year. (2 12 hour shifts a week, I think... all over Orange County.)

Also, when you visit UCI - be sure to talk to their nursing counselors. Make an appointment with them first though, because no walk-ins are accepted! (Or you can do what I did and walk-in, make an appointment, then sit in a meeting 2 hours later.)

If you have any questions, message me or ask in this thread. Also, congrats to all the fellow 2016 UCI nursing students!
