I’m trying to get into UCI Nursing and on their website it says the average GPA is 4.25. Is this the weighted GPA or capped GPA?
My GPA at the end of junior year for academic 10-12 will be either 4.35 (weighted) 4.27 (weighted and capped), or 4.31 (weighted) 4.23 (weighted and capped). Also, do they count senior grades?
UCI only uses weighted capped UC GPA (10-11th grades for a-g courses and 8 semesters of honors points capped)
Senior grades are not considered, only 10-11th grades. Senior grades will maintain your provisional admission if accepted but not used in the admission decison.
Anyone know when nursing results are typically results? Most schools that do waves it’s toward the end but maybe a specific date they tend to stick w?
Hello @Gumbymom my daughter applied to UCI nursing program and we just saw her portal. She got in but as undecided/undeclared major. What path does she take if she wants to continue as nursing student at UCI? Did they ever have waitlist for nursing at UCI? Thank you by the way for all your help/ info.
@Adfatbern:
Here is the link of how to transfer into the Nursing Major at UCI.
They do not offer a waitlist for Nursing.
http://www.nursing.uci.edu/bs-change-major.asp
2016 change of major applicants: 62
2016 change of major admissions: 12 (19 percent admitted)
Average cumulative GPA: 3.57
Cumulative GPA range of admissions: 3.14 – 3.84
Very competitive and not guaranteed. If she has been admitted into another direct admit program, I would consider that program over UCI.
Thank you for all the info!
