UC Major variation Biochems

Hey folks,

I know, through google, that there are a few threads in college confidential relating somewhat to this quandary. But they really didn't answer my question. Which is, what precisely is the trade off of doing Biochem and Cell Biology vs Biochem/chem for UCSD or Biochem vs Biochem and molecular bio for UCI or etc...?

From these,
Biochem/chem:

Biochem/Cell

It appears you can do some of the higher and possibly more fun Bio courses as part of #7 of the U.D. for Biochem/chem, but not get to do as many extra chem classes in the other.

My current status is that I've satisfied all of the major pre-reqs for both kinds with bio, physics, math, chem and even earned As in my O-chem courses as honors. I like both Chem and Bio, but I favor the more analytically, mathematical, chemistry side. You can also pretty much take any class you want, right? It just won't go toward satisfying your major breadth? So would you guys reckon it's better for me to do the Biochem/chem breadth and just take some courses in the more Bio side for my own interest? I suppose if I do that I can always use those extra bio courses for a minor in bio too, eh?

Any info is much appreciated.
~Thank you. ^.^
