Still nothing over here. Someone else from the same major (Japanese Language and Literature) got accepted already, but they had better stats. My brother’s UC GPA is a 2.5, so I doubt it’s happening.
His is also the same major right?
@Countchocula25 Yeah. My brother is the one who applied to UCR. His is the Japanese major with a 2.5.
I applied for the business program. Still nothing.
Honestly I think your brother has a good shot. He has three things working in his favor. 1. The enrollement increase, 2. It’s not as strict as the other UCs as far as acceptances, and 3. His major shouldn’t be impacted at all. There are probably only a handful of people who actually have that as a declared major at the school. @aepaige

@Countchocula25 Yeah, he got into all four CSUs he applied to–including Long Beach–with that GPA. We went to Preview Day there and he asked one of the admissions officers if he should be worried about not getting in with that GPA and major and they laughed and said no one ever applies for that major. We shall see what happens with the UCs. So far, still nothing.
So I guess it’s pointless to check at midnight right?
