opinions? I'm planning to go into pre-med.. and i believe that UCSD has a much stronger undergraduate premed program than BU. i kinda messed up on the CSS profile part for Boston U financial aid so i don't think i will be receiving any aid.. i believe i would have to pay 8k/year to attend ucsd (California resident), whereas BU would be 40k+. its too late to send in the CSS profile and receive aid now right?

Thanksss

easy call!!
go to san diego...you luck SOB!!!

I'd go to UCSD if you don't think you can get any aid. I don't know about the pre-med programs at either one, but it might be a good idea to go for the better one...
I'm deciding between Brandeis and UCSD, and I haven't submitted the CSS profile to Brandeis. They said to send it ASAP, so maybe BU will still accept yours too.

UCSD seems the clear option to me, for all of the reasons you stated.

I went to BU myself and used to hang around a lot of BU med students. Go to UCSD, BU has depressing weather, it takes a toll on you after a while. 5 solid months of gray and twigs(trees with no leaves), very depressing. If you are premed, you are most likely going to spend a lot of time study, at least SD has nice weather to enjoy when you don't have to study.
BU is in the city, it does not have a nice campus, and it costs an arm and a leg to attend unless you are a NMSF.

yeah.. im leaning more towards SD right now as well.

UCSD for sure. I'm going there and by the looks of it UCSD is much better, because their graduate program is right across from the main campus. they work closely with the hospitals there. Anyway, your a resident of california. take advantage of that. in the long run you will save money which you can use to pay for any medical school you will like to go in the future.

true that. but BU looks like such a fun place.. and all the experience i will gain from the eastcoast enviroment..

not even close to a decision here... UCSD obviously. its a better school, especially pre-med wise, and it costs a lot less.
