UC Santa Barbara

UCSB is one of my top schools I would like to apply to. My GPA is 3.6 and I took the Sat and got a 25. I have about 150+ hours of community service and I am in bolved in some clubs at school. I want to be admitted for Computer Engineering ..what are my chances? Any help appreciated!

I am assuming you mean ACT of 25. If you look at the common data set for UCSB 2013 incoming Freshman, your ACT score is at 25th percentile and only 20% of their acceptances had a GPA of less than 3.74. Average GPA was 3.91. Definitely retake your ACT and work on getting your GPA up.

UCSB: Low Reach

@Gumbymom‌ What are some schools that you would think I would have a chance at?

You have a chance at UCSB, particularly if you get your test scores up. Is that your UC gpa or your unweighted gpa?

You might also consider UCSC,UCI and UC Davis if you like the UCs, and some safeties.

I would also add in Cal Poly SLO and SJSU as possible colleges. If your UC GPA is 3.9+, get your test scores up to 30+, then you would have a good chance at all the schools.

I agree with Cal Poly SLO, Cal State U Long Beach is also excellent. You would want to work on your test scores and grades for them as well as for UCSB, however, in that major. You really need to calculate your UC gpa.
