***UC Santa Cruz Transfer Decision Thread 2019***

Has anyone been rejected yet?

So… I’m trying to log into my portal to check my status (for the 87th ime today), and I can log on but when I try to hit “continue to MyUCSC” it says “your username and password are invalid? Wondering if something is updating…

@thehotwaffle Maybe you just need to refresh it. No decision, but I logged in fine just now.

ok, thanks anyway @Ohm888

@DavisPls Yeah I tried that, and tried resetting my password… still nothing

@thehotwaffle You’ve probably signed on so many times that you’ve broken the system lol

@kristinpete honestly… probably true

For those who have been accepted: have you received any information about financial aid yet?

@knockemout No my teen has not, but Cal Grant awards are posted on their Webs4Grant account.

My daughter still waiting too…,no idea when she will hear. She tagged UCSB and still no word from them either. The wait continues…

Anyone else still not heard? Been a while since they started posting. When do they post rejections lol?

For those who have TAG’d and are feeling a bit uneasy. They don’t have any specific dates for TAG applicants. They are mixed into the same waves as regular transfer applicants and will continue to receive notices until April 30th.

My daughter still hasn’t heard. She doesn’t have TAG, she’s transferring from a 4-year university out of state but she’s a CA resident, graduated from CA high school, residency is here and born here/lived her her whole life. She has a friend who transferred from her school to UCSC last year but not sure when in the process that friend heard. The wait is so difficult.

I got an email from them today asking for my transcripts because I have a class I did Academic Renewal on and they need to verify it. Here’s the message:

Dear ______,

We have received your University of California Undergraduate Application for Admission and
Scholarships. Thank you for your interest in our campus.

We are in the process of reviewing your application. Before we can complete our review and reach an
admission decision, we need the following information from you:

Please attach a copy of your transcript to verify your courses with AR grades.

We must receive this information within five days of this message date, or processing of your
application may be delayed or canceled.

I just sent my transcripts. Hope this is a good sign.

It’s all speculation for now. They will continue to release decisions until April 30th and there will be plenty of acceptances and rejections until then. Just hang in there! You already did your part, it’s time to let them do theirs. All you can do now is wait, and when it comes, it comes.

@thehotwaffle many times people say they have academic renewal but do not - or did not have it when they submitted the application and yet said they did. If the AR is on the transcript, you’re fine.

Oh, I see! Thanks @Ohm888 !

@thehotwaffle did you get AR during tau? or was the AR already applied when you submitted the app in the fall?

@UCSChopefully it was already on my transcripts in the fall, does when you got AR make a difference?

They just want to see the notation.
