UC Santa Cruz vs. chapman university

I have been admitted to both schools for psychology. I was wondering which one is better for psychology and which school has a better value to attend. is it better to go to a UC because of the name or to a private university? Which one is better in the long run? What about internships? I’ve been back and forth and can’t decide

What is the cost differential?

Santa Cruz is significantly cheaper because it’s in state tuition, but I received the deans scholarship from chapman.

what did you like/dislike about each one? They are so dramatically different.

I liked that Chapman has this feeling of a community and it would be an easier transition because it’s smaller. I liked the amount of options available at UCSC, it’s more well known, and close to home. The only thing I don’t like about Chapman is the cost. One thing I don’t like about UCSC is that it’s a bit intimidating because of its size and the people. I feel like it would be harder to make friends at Santa Cruz compared to Chapman.
