So I know that the UC's only take your highest sitting.I took the SAT twice, and my scores were as follows:

March
730 Critical Reading
770 Math
630 Writing
=2130

May
740 Critical Reading
700 Math
770 Writing
=2210

I'm applying for UC Berkeley engineering. Which set of scores would I want to send? Obviously the May total is better, but the math is 70 points lower. HM.

I’d send the first set, the M+CR are way more important. Just write nice essays.

UCs do not permit the use of score choice, so you would have to send both of them. They require all scores.

@Classof2015HS yeah but on the actual application they want only one set.

The application allows more than 1 set of SAT or ACT scores. There should be a drop down that allows you to enter several…

Erm no it doesn’t, I just checked:

Check which test(s) you have taken or plan to take:

ACT Assessment SAT Reasoning Test Neither
Report your ACT/SAT scores below. Please remember:

Record your scores exactly as they were reported by the testing agency.
If you have taken a test more than once, record your highest overall score.
Tests taken before February 2005 will not meet UC’s Examination Requirement.

Sorry, must have changed since last year when I was helping my son fill out the application. He was able to put both his ACT scores on the application.

Im kind of in the same place that you are. Im expecting my nov SAT to be higher but with a lower math score and I dont know which one to send. I personally think its dumb that one math questions can drop us as much as 50 points and that we can literally face rejection/acceptance based on that.

Since you have to send both UCB will use the one that is higher in their eyes.
