UC schools grading. Need Help Now!!!

Hey everyone! I’m in a weird situation right now. I know that UC schools only look at 10th-11th grades, however I skipped my sophomore year. Does this mean that they will only look at my junior grades, since I went from freshman to junior?I NEED HELP ASAP TO DETERMINE MY WEIGHTED GPA.

I’m not sure how you specifically skip 10th, since classes other than English and maybe World History aren’t really grade-specific. I’d guess they will look at you as graduating a year early. So, this may apply: http://admissions.ucdavis.edu/admission/freshmen/fr_special_situations.cfm

I’d contact the admissions departments for a few of the UCs you are aiming for and ask.

Will you have all the a-g requirements done including 4 years of English? (And will you have ~8 semesters of weighted classes according to Doorways, since Precalc is usually the only non-AP/IB honors class that counts as weighted?)

Yes. Summer school and online school has helped me  @Ynotgo English is done. And I was in precalc as a freshman. It would be nice if they only looked at junior grades. 5.0 weighted since I only took IB courses this year haha.

Also, if I wanted to resume school normally, my high school will have extracurricular classes for me since I’ve exhausted its fundamental classes.

Oh, and I had to skip a grade if I wanted to qualify for the full IB diploma, according to my counselor.

Calm down. UC applications are not even open. Please restrain yourself in futures titles and skip the hyperbole. If you are located in CA, your GC will be able to help you.

Yeah I know, sorry for being too apprehensive. I just wanted to start working on my college list. I don’t live in California, so my counselor might not be able to help me? @BrownParent

Then use all the info on the UC website and email for specific questions.

I looked at another thread you made, and I don’t see a visual or performing arts credit. Do you have one? That trips up a lot of OOS kids.

Yes. I’m in this Chinese immersion program, and it allows you to earn 4 credits, which can be distributed into arts and world language. I already had that covered since eighth grade. The only thing I am missing is another science and one more year of English, according to my transcript.
