is anyone applying for a uc to uc transfer or know anything about it?

me, what do you want to know?

hey ur from UCR also? did u get into any UC's yet?

yeah man.. no news for me yet. Hopefully we both get out of riverhell :)

haha yeah...i know a guy who recently got accepted to uci from riverside with a 3.1 econ major...so it seems like it shouldnt be too hard to escape from here...wuts ur major/stats by the way?

and also, do u know anyone who has transferred to another uc from ucr or people who recently got accepted to another uc from ucr?

yeah, 3 people from my old highschool got into UCI from UCR... two people got in as sophmores (after freshman year) not sure what their stats were. My other friend got into UCI as a poli sci transfer with a 3.2 GPA even though he was doing business at UCR...

interesting name, POTbeagle ;)...im trying to get into Cal from ucsd...

what's your background? so maybe we can give you specific help :)

cool...thanx for the info

haha thnx...i have a 3.27 gpa (its low i know...i did a little too much partying last year) i am the task manager of my professional business fraternity alpha kappa psi, i have two internships under my belt, and a certificate of achievement from entrepreneurship institute at ucla. Good luck with getting to cal dude, my girlfriend goes to ucsd right now...she seems to like it there a lot...why are u deciding to transfer?

there isn't anything too bad to say about the school, but i haven't had the best of starts to college.....dormed with drunk, semi-violent sophomores and studied a lot. I think that going back close to home would be more convenient for the next two years. I'd at least be able to get off campus much more easily.:)

Anyways good luck to you! You have a good-fair chance at all the UCs save the top two. (but who knows, there are ppl from my school with 3.1-3.3 Gpas and get into ucla).

thnx futebolista

damn u need zen like patience to wait for these f-ing admissions...im freakin dying here in riverhell with my finals cause all i can think about are my admission decisions.

haha don't worry... good luck with your finals. I finished all mine today, finals killed me this quarter :(

damn u already finished? i still have finals till saturday...im in the science library studying right now trying to make up for all the lectures i missed. btw...wuts ur major hobo?

i'm doing business econ right now but i've got the pre req's for both biz econ and business administration done. All i know is i definitely just gave up this quarter lol... i had A's going into all my classes and i ended up with a B+ in one of them and i just bombed my other final... i studied maybe 1 hr this week? man, i just want out :)

dang...bad times...haha at least u got it over with...speaking of hobos one of them was harrassing me to give him a donut when i went to get some earlier...we seriously need to get out before the hobos unite and attack ucr

ahha did you go winchells or krispy kreme? at least he asked you for a donut, he coulda asked you for money to buy drugs lol. I swear, everytiem i go out to eat i get hassled for change.

haha...yea same here....i went to winchells...their donuts blow and are hard as rocks...me and my roommate ashed on our donuts and it bent our butts in half

Hello, I was wondering how difficult exactly it is to transfer from one UC to another. I mean if I was going to do it how would I know which courses to take at say UC Davis, which Im going to be attending in the fall as a freshman. I'm in the Life-Sciences College and I know I will have to complete lower division courses and GE courses but how much of those do I need to complete and how will I know if they will transfer. Also will taking courses toward my major hurt me and how long will I have to spend at say UC Davis if I wanted to transfer. I believe that if I can maintain an above 3.5 GPA at Davis, which isnt going to be easy, and doing internships in my intended field of study should also help, but is there anything else I should do if I really wanted to transfer to another UC? Any input would be great!
