Hey, I was on the Dean's list too but don't know how to prove this. Where can I find this?

It should be on your transcript. But read my previous post.

Ahhh i see. Well, I do agree with you on your previous post. What should we do? lol

Well- I don't think it will cause you harm to put it in your awards section. If you have other awards to list though, you should definitely list those and put more of an emphasis on them.

I would put it if you really want to fill up space and don't have enough other stuff to list though.

yeah it counts as an award, butas gabew42 says, if you have other significant awards too, you might as well list them, as they will see that you're on the dean's list already.

I was just wondering, what other academic awards are possible to get? What awards have you guys received?

I know my college gives out the "Medal of Honor" to 12 students each year. Also, I think when your essays or other schoolwork gets recognized by a department or published that qualifies as academic.

So would the majority of students receive the Dean's List award at most?

The only awards I put are the Dean's list and the Governor's Scholar Award for the high school STAR/GSE tests.

The Dean's list awards I am aware of are AUTOMATIC--based on GPA and credits--so I don't see how it could stand out as providing any info beyond what is already there. What was your motiviation to put it in ucbhi?

I received the Dean's List Award after the completion of 12 units in a summer session while concurrently working 30hrs/week. As a result, I received a 3.75 for that semester (one of those classes was an online class so I received a B, go figure). I felt like that was quite an accomplishment, sacrificing my summer to work and study. When I look back on it, it was well worth it.

Hm, I worked 30hrs/week during last summer and took 12 credits and got a 4.0--I didn't get a Dean's list award!

We have the President's List at my school--12 units and at least a 3.5 in a given semester.

We have that too. But strangely I've only gotten one so far and I've had higher than a 3.5 with twelve or more units for the last two academic terms.

I guess it doesn't really matter though.

I hope you guys finished your essays by now. Use this last week to have people proofread your essays.

yeah USC sucks. Hey where would you put Deans list. in the awards section

USC does not suck!

Kevin I know USC doesn't suck. In fact I think USC is a very good school. I hate USC though. I am a little biased towards USC cause I was born a bruin and I will die one. By the way where do you go to school now kevin. Goodluck on your admissions by the way.
