rshaan....sometimes you have to keep tweeking the class code until it comes up. It has to come up or the computer system will not read the class as transferable. If it still doesn't come up after you have tried a few times, then contact your school to make sure the class code is correct

thanks luvtoolearn!@

i did, soci became soc and voila!

OH has anyone here put up the classes theyve fulfilled with AP credit? How do you list those? Like what semester, what grade, etc?

TIA~

I put all my AP credits under Additional Comment at the bottom.
And for the page where it listed pre-requisites, I just put AP under Term and my score under grade.

UC CCCT application issue:
If the course shows as UC transferable on the assist site and not on the application, enter the course as shown on the assist site. The online application is matching the information with the assist site, so this should fix the issue.

AP application question:
There should be a place on the application to self report the AP scores you received. Do not list the course equivalence obtained through the CCC since it might differ from what the UC campus might give you. And most likely this course equivalence won’t show on the official transcripts you will be submitting in July.

but then how do you know we finished IGETC, if we don't put down the CCC courses that were provided due to AP.

freudcarl,

I believe how this works is that they ask you on the application if you will be IGETC certified following your Spring classes, and then when you accept your admission and send in your transcripts you also have to send in your IGETC certification which you will obtain from your CCC.

--Joe

o ok thanks

Correct, we only know you are IGETC certified after your community college sends in the approved IGETC form. The CCC handles the IGETC process, the UC system accepts it.

@UCD Admissions

So couldn't the UC deny an applicant because the application doesn't meet a specific criteria (IE: Eng1a) as a taken or planned course, even though the class is articulated with the community college through an AP Credit and eventually through IGETC? Of course, given that the university doesn't accept the credit BUT the community college does?

Thanks for your help!

Since you self report the AP English exam score of 3, 4 or 5 on the application we will see this and it will satisfy the minimum eligibility requirements. For example, a student that has a AP English score or 4 and English 1b will meet the two year requirement for English composition by self reporting the English AP score and listing English 1b. If English 1A is listed as a required course by your major then please contact the UC campus to make sure you don’t have to take English 1a despite your AP score.

UC4me- 3.3 and 3.7 is a big differnce especially for cal and ucla! g luck both of us!
