UC Transfer Q's

Quick questions about transferring to UC's

1) Does completing IGETC and major pre-reqs the spring before hurt your chances compared to those who finished winter semester?

2) I will be having the min number of units for transfer. Thats just fine right?

Thanks in advance.

1)Not at all.

2)Minimum units is fine as long as your major pre-requisite coursework (or IGETC) is completed.

I don’t see why it would; however, it is always better to check with the campus. For UC Davis it wouldn’t matter even if the IGETC wasn’t completed. For transfer student you need to meet the requirements for the UC campus. Again, for UC Davis you typically need 60 semester transferable units, proper courses (could change depending on your major) and proper GPA to be admitted. Having more than 60 transferable units would not increase your chances to be admitted.
