from what i know based on the UCLA FA officers as well as on their website, only 4.0 gpa students are invited to apply to the UCLA regents.

Berkeley is definitely another deal. I find it weird that your friend was invited… but oh well :)

So it is possible that Berkeley will invite me to regents if I have a 3.8 and awesome ec’s?

And btw, as a side note on regents, did anyone else know that in order to get Davis regents you actually had to send in a recommendation letter from a teacher by january!!! I thought all Regents were automatic I missed out :(

For Berkeley, I believe they pick ~400 transfer students they deem are the most qualified and put them in a pool. From that pool, the faculty handpick those they feel most deserve it. Then you should get notice around middle of May. On the other hand, UCLA lets you know at the time of acceptance… ~late april

yeah i was hella surprised that he got it too, but oh well…like i said i didnt apply to UCLA hahaha, so i dont care about it

im just waiting on berkeleyyyy

i didnt know that about Davis, and yes u can still get into that pool of applicants with a 3.8, if they deem you a well qualified candidate for regents
