UCB Haas GPA question

Does UCB only account your GPA for the transferable classes or is it the whole GPA? I know theres a difference between Major Gpa and GPA in general, but for the GPA in general how do they calculate it? Thanks

first of, the poll u are competing, to borrow from the admission letter, “best out of the best”.

So, u do the math since 80% is 3.7-4.0. 80% by the way.

I just got in with transferable 3.94. Major 4.0. Total 3.94.

Good luck

lol wow that made basically no sense to me? but to the OP… idk but I’m curious also. I have no idea what kind of GPA I have according to them. I’m assuming they technically calculate only your UC transferable GPA but they’ll look at your overall.

I remember reading in an earlier thread that they only use transferable units to calculate your GPA. So your overall GPA would include the transferable classes and your major GPA would include their prerequisite courses from those transferable classes. I hope this helps!

meh. it’s not all about gpa for haas. I have a friend that got in with 3.5 this year. however, his three essays were amazing.

brother with 3.8 got into haas.

his only b’s were Calc 1 and 2.

but ECS were strong and his personal essay was very good(according to one of his proffs who used to read admission essays)

i believe all ucs just look at your transferable, since non transferable don’t really count towards your gpa in their system

Thanks for EVERYTHING guys… if by any chance any of you could PM any personal statements you come across that would be amazing.
