<p>I want an apartment on campus; Orchard Park or Solano Park, seem okay. They’re pretty cheap. It appears the other, private apartments are off-limits to incoming transfers. Bastards.</p>

<p>I use to be SIR’d to Davis and I gotta vouch for Primero Grove. It’s on campus, across the street from the frats, and a short walk from the gym. Perfecto.</p>

I’m going for the res halls :/</p>
<p>Solano Park and Orchard Park give first priority to undergrads and transfers with kids, even over continuing undergrads without kids. Needless to say you are going to be surrounded by children playing and being loud. They looked okay, I guess. Wasn’t too fond of the clotheslines hanging from the patios. And the other option, Castilian, looks like a Travelodge to be honest. I heard that transfers under 25 were going to be allowed in residence halls for the first time (correct me if I am wrong). </p>
<p>To me, all of the places looked small D: I am not used to living in such small spaces. I guess that is university life though. I just know that in other towns in the area, for the same rent we could get much bigger houses. Then there is the pain of driving+bike.

<p>@christian When I said private apartments, I meant the privately run campus apartments – not all private apartments in Davis. Sorry for the confusion.</p>

<p>When we SIR , we see the housing request option in the menu. When we click that it tells us to choose between rez or apartment. I havent gotten further than that yet.</p>

<p>now i’m worried that i’ll be placed with older people in the apartments 
… but having my own room/bathroom was way too good to turn down as opposed to a double, maybe a triple, and a shared bathroom.</p>
