I applied to UC Davis as an International Relations major wanting to eventually get into Politics with a Law Degree. My question is, if I do well in UC Davis, will I still be able to get into the Competitive Law Schools even if I don’t go to a “prestigious under-grade school” like CAL? Does the whole “prestige thing” matter that much for politics and is UC Davis a good school for IR or PS? I figured UC Davis would be good due to its close proximity to the State Capital. Thanks Guys :)

Yeah, law school is largely LSATs+GPA. It just so happens that people who attend Harvard are capable of doing well on the LSATs.

I have quite few friends in majoring in IR and Poli Sci. They seem to like it. And from what I remember, IR majors are required to do a quarter abroad. So that should be fun.

wow I am in the exact same boat as you whiteape…I’m hoping to eventually end up at Stanford later down the road for grad school, maybe Georgetown.

I am an incoming freshman with an international relations major
