If money’s an issue, UCSD for sure (unless you’re an international or out-of-state student - then, I don’t know). I don’t know much about UCD, but I do know that UCSD is highly qualified for it’s math and science departments - that’s why most of the students are Asian (Hahah, I’m totally kidding. Kind of.)

I suggest you go to visit each school’s department. That is the only way you’ll know for yourself. I’m leaning towards Davis at this point. There’s an open house or Decision UC Davis on the 10th of April and Picnic Day on the 11th, so go check out UCD.

Davis is a small town, where San Diego is a large city. On campus life tends to be a little more interesting at Davis than at San Diego, but this is because of the students that tend to go there. UC San Diego slightly has more prestige than UCD. Either campus is a win.

I’m going to Davis because there is a HUGE amount of school pride. Plus there’s stuff to do around and about campus and San Fran & Sac town are close.

San Diego is a really good school. Davis is just as prestigious, however San Diego is a little more Science oriented. But you need to take into serious account weather you want to live in a big city or small town. I’ve heard ucsd has a boring campus life too.

Uhm also, living in san diego is far more expense than living in davis – rent wise.

According to this official UC Davis letter that I got last week…

“Attending UC Davis is also affordable. The costs of living in Davis are among the lowest in the UC system, and our Office of Financial Aid works closely with students to make sure educational costs are covered. The Princeton Review and Kiplinger’s Magazine both recognized UC Davis as a “best value” college this year.”

I didn’t know that.

Although I am from San Diego, been to UCSD plenty of times, have LOADS of friends there…I did apply here too and Davis, and I would definitely choose UCSD over UCD, now that I realize it…I don’t think I would like Davis…should go up for a visit tho, this is considering I don’t get into Cal…>__<;;

Best of luck. San Diego rocks, LOL. No, really. You can never be bored here. Unless you like…have gone everywhere…hahaha!
