My son lives outside of us for now. He was accepted to the Burnett Honors College, and orientation dates were released yesterday. His dates are June 6 and 7, but he graduates from high school on June 8. He cannot be in United States before June 16... Does anyone know what we could do? Besides, he was accepted to start during the summer, so he has to attend orientation before the starting date on June 21.
Any advise will be greatly appreciated!

My advice is to call the honors college and tell them why you said above. They’ll be able to work out a plan for your son.

You need to contact the honors college and they will allow him to go on a different date.

thank you… it is what we should do. Not as simple but I will give it a try.

Well, what other options do you have? Not showing up isn’t an option. Calling is the only thing you can do.

Yes… He is going to call and tell them he has graduation rehearsals those two days. We spoke to his counselor today , and he can’t be absent on those days. The sooner he could be in Orlando is on the 16. I hope they don’t have a problem with that.
Thank you!
