UCF Fall 09 Decisions thread!

I just applied, but a few of my friends have already gained acceptance. Hopefully I do too!

Post if you were accepted, deferred, etc. and some simple stats such as GPA and SAT, if you don't mind.

Here are my friends (both FL Residents).....

We had a great deal of trouble with all her things making it through to the university. It took several back and forths with admissions to make sure transcripts and standardized scores had made it through. So, if your status page is doing wonky things or not updating after a few weeks, double check using the email addy on the status page and make sure things are arriving. They've been having some electronic transmission trouble as we were told.

zebes

Those electronic problems aren't anything new. UCF is notorious for losing, or "never receiving", all of your required materials in a timely fashion.

^^^
Never had a bit of trouble with our son two years ago. This was almost laughable. Told admissions there was a giant blackhole around my d's file. When the lady went into personally fix it, after her status page had started giving even more bizarre messages, D was accepted within the hour.

zebes

And I'm in-state...

I'm sure I'll still get in (they want to see my first semester grades, 3 APs and an Honor, all A's and B's, one C+) but this was supposed to be my safety school. Brings down my confidence for UF a little.

wow thats really suprising
i've seen people with lower scores and grades get in...
i wouldn't worry, you'll probably get in

dctalk,

Did they specifically ask you for your 1st semester grades, or was it a generic message about sending more info to get earlier decision. Looking at your stats, YOU should be in......Are other in-state applicants with really solid stats now getting deffered, too?

yeah, they specifically asked for my first semester grades and I have seen other people who have gotten asked for better test scores. As far as I've heard, UCF has been deferring a lot of people, but partially because they are rolling admissions and have a huge applicant pool (so, I guess they just want to see other people before they make a decision on me). But, most of my friends that have applied have gotten in and they all have around the same stats or better.
