yes. Most probably, as they notify the applicants one week prior to the release date…
i’m so nervous!!!
https://collegeadmissions.uchicago.edu 18th late afternoon results come
I applied Early Decision, on time and everything, but I didn’t complete the financial aid checklist until a few weeks ago, does this mean my financial aid will not come out with my decision?
Also on of my friends was on CC on the Boston University ED 2022 page and they had an Instagram group chat just to talk and stress out I guess, if anyone wants to DM me and we can start one!
wait, are results being emailed to us or do we have to make some kind of account?
also, if I haven’t done FAFSA at all yet, should I do that before I get ED results?
does early action mean i’ll get the results before everyone else here?
Last year all EDI and EA were released at the same time.
@ashtrohno my guidance counselor told me that the sooner you do FAFSA the better, so probably
@JBStillFlying but I applied early
@Beppeb everyone who applied early gets results on the 18th (unless you’re applying through questbridge). There’s no earlier date
@Beppeb - If you applied by Nov. 1, then regardless of whether you chose EA or EDI, you will get your results on Dec. 18th in the afternoon.
@JBStillFlying Ah right, thanks for the help. I was just confused for a second – so many different application paths!
I just got an email from UChicago about my financial aid. I did EA and did not apply for aid. The emails says something like according to their records I did not apply for financial aid, but they wanted to reassure it since for international applicant, need-based-aid “is only awarded as part of the admissions process, before admissions decisions are finalized”. It said if I meant to apply but forgot to do so in November, I need to complete the ISFAA form online by Thursday, December 14th.
This seems odd to me. Is it normal for them to check with me for financial aid? I mean, do they double check with everyone?
I checked last year’s thread and ED/EA seemed to come out at 5pm EST. Gosh, I’m so anxious…
@Mingting2018 - Wouldn’t read too much into that message, other than that they want to confirm that you didn’t apply for aid. For the int’l students admissions is NOT need blind so obviously they do take ability to pay into account when making a decision. You should confirm that you are full pay.
@JBStillFlying Thanks! That makes sense. I probably should stop overthinking and just concentrate on my RD essays lol
Ahaha just got rejected from cornell ED, now I’m waiting for this one! ughh
How do you know the decision comes out on the 18th?
