why is uchicago so late and slow about it… omg so nervous. havard just came out lol
i am curious about the interviews for international students. i applied for alum interview and got an interview offer rather late, like a week later than others. does that mean my chances are lower?
@DariusTheGreat.
Thanks.
Any idea as to what exact time late afternoon refers to?
4-5 pm?
the uncertainty makes it even more thrilling lol
@Vikkiziako The time of alumni interview is random and totally up to alumni and local committe themselves, so it will never lower you chance to get in. BTW, interview of UChicago is not a big deal, lots of people get in without interviews. And even domestic applicants sometimes cannot have an interview…
Thanks!
@yoyoyoyoyo Last year it was 5 pm EST so probably the same time this year
I’m really trying to prepare myself for a rejection this process is so nerve-wracking!
did all international students get the email pertaining to the Financial aid confirmation or only students who did not apply for financial aid?
Did anyone get an email about decision times yet?
@philthephoenix.
No email has been sent about decision times but it’s on their site and social media stating late afternoon.
(Would love to know an exact time!!!)
Last year it was around 4 pm Chicago time for both EA/EDI and EDII.
I have a scholar program application due for one of my other colleges that assure a full ride due this Friday… but I’m SO apathetic towards it and really don’t feel like applying thought I know I should for an insurance policy.
@cambellssoup @assefagha i did that too! fingers crossed for tomorrow…
@cambellssoup @theoaubreo Where are you guys going to open your decision tomorrow?
how much do you think applicants to UChi increased?
Less than a week to go…
@Dankjewel.
I believe there will be an increase in the number of applicants which will result in a subsequent drop in acceptance rates.
