@CU123 - thanks for setting me straight. @Benji3025 good luck - you are obviously off to a great start! :D/
Does anyone know around what time are the ED2 decisions released?
@dkuat26 most likely 5 or 6PM ET
Last year was 5pm EST so here’s hoping for one hour less of waiting… :-SS
When will RD decisions be released? Im assuming 3/16 (Friday)
Is everyone going to post here when the ED2 decision is out ? Which is roughly 13 hours later…? I am truly panicking right now, and I’m also trying really hard not to think about it X_X
Someone should probably create a “results only” thread if that hasn’t been done yet.
@JBStillFlying I highly recommended create one for ED2 only thread…
Rejected. I live in D.C. area.
Sorry, @GrusMinion.
For those who were deferred EDI, and elected to ask the committee to review you for RD, have you looked at your portal lately? Do you see a different message? S’s still mentions mid-December, even though he completed and returned the “deferred response form” on time.
Thank you for checking on your application status! At this time, we have processed all of your application materials, and your application is awaiting our committee’s review. We will communicate with you directly should we have any additional questions or concerns, and your admissions decision will be available in your account in mid-December (we will let you know when our official decision date is finalized!)
@YoungOne4 Thanks. I’ll get where I want to go; many paths to your goals. So nice of you. Hope you get into UChicago.
Looks like no luck for those who apply financial aid
DS received the good news with generous financial aid. Good luck to all.
Well, it seems I was rejected. I’m disappointed, but I certainly respect the decision of the Admissions Office. It’s certainly nice to have already gotten into MIT EA (even if I don’t particularly want to go) and to have gotten a likely letter from Yale, but I’m genuinely surprised I got rejected. I hate to sound conceited when saying I expected to get in, but to an extent, I did, but oh well, nothing to do about it.
Congratulations to all who got in, and for those who didn’t, don’t fret about it. Rejection is inevitable in the application process, and UChicago is obviously one of the best schools in the country (and the world), so getting rejected is nothing to be ashamed of. Best of luck to all of you!
Anyone know how to get into the facebook chat, do they know if you get accepted or not? Like if you request and they never accept you, does that implicate that you didn’t get in?
@Dragslaya123 what? you’ll know if you got in if you opened your admission decision lol. but yes they’ll know if you got in.
@MaybeHarvard2022 I was just wondering because one of my friends is trolling around and tries to join the group chat, but he didn’t check his admission yet. He tried joining, but he never got added to the group so just wondering if that means he didn’t get in Uchicago?
@Dragslaya123 ohh, well tell him to suck it up and check haha
Accepted!!
