@crazychic Hahha you are hilarious! Don’t know…guess that is why they call it a vibe. Arghhh…so nervous!

@crazychic just wondering. whats your intended major? Just to see if the vibe is right :)

I think that Chicago is need-blind. Therefore, applying for FA wouldn’t matter.

Crazychic is international, and so am I. U of C is not need-blind for internationals.

I did not know that. I’m sorry for spreading false information.

is anyone else obsessed with the Overheard at UChicago page on facebook?? i cant stop laughing every time i go on there!

@paracosm Lol I’ve never actually heard of it until now! But thanks for introducing it’s absolutely hysterical!

@david I’m applying for english
what was the vibe? ;)

i think since d-day officially starts around 5 pm today, and ends 5 pm-ish tomorrow, we can un-forbid talking about D’s beginning this evening. how does that sound?

and what is this overhead uchicago FB page? i can’t seem to find it

@neontissues I think the page paracosm was talking about was the overheard at uchicago page, I tried posting the link but it didn’t link to that :(

PLEASE LET’S OBSESS ABOUT D-DAY!!!

I really, really hope I don’t get flat-out rejected. it would be a huge blow to my confidence and that would really not help with RD apps.

Neontissues, you are probably feeling pretty secure about yourself, haha. With offers from Georgetown and Babson in hand, who wouldn’t feel confident about this process!

Let’s not get ahead of ourselves here! One more day, calm down and go on with your day.

YES LET’S OBSESS OVER D DAY
I just found out that I’m graduating from school seven days after I was originally supposed to because my exams are getting over later. 2013 has been such a bad year, I hope I get to end it on a good aka UChicago note. #triskaidekaphobic #we’reawesomenomatterwhat #Ihatethespacebar
(And yes I wrote a whole lot more, but I removed it) @omar way to keep it together #respect

timer for anyone interested in doing nothing for the next day but staring at their computer:
[Generic Calendar/Clock - Countdown to Dec 18, 2013 4:30 PM in Chicago](<a href=“Countdown Timer – Countdown to Dec 18, 2013 4:30 pm in Chicago”>Countdown Timer – Countdown to Dec 18, 2013 4:30 pm in Chicago)
the timer puts decisions at around 4:30 pm which is around when they released last year as well

@crazychic no worries! i actually found the fb page by simply replacing the *****'s with facebook. com and it worked. obviously i am unable to discern “overheard” from “overhead” -________- but yea…the fb group looks like a center for glorified bashing and witty criticism: my kind of place!

@international i definitely have a weight lifted off my shoulders, so in that sense i feel secure knowing i have a wonderful school to go to. not feeling so great about uchicago though. i’m almost betting on a deferral, but an acceptance would quite possibly make my life haha

@tips1660 i have a countdown going on my phone. it adds to my excitement. i think anxiety is no longer an emotion in my ever-lessening array of possible feelings to express

So I just talked to my regional counselor and she said it should be mid afternoon, central time. Well, at least the late afternoon turned into a mid afternoon!
@neon I guess I forgot that UChicago applicants are smart enough to think of that
and I have a countdown on my phone too! I’ve had it for 4 days. Though more anxiety for me than excitement :(

I’m probably going to check here a million times tomorrow to see if you guys got your results. I’m literally terrified to check the UChi portal :(

@itapitamou have hope! May the odds be ever in your favor :)

what exactly is mid-afternoon though? evening is technically sunset, right? and that’s a little after 4pm in chicago these days. so would mid afternoon be before 4? HAHA SORRY i’m just starting to freak out. i’m so nervous :(

yipppeeee! accepted to northeastern honors college (with around 35k). unfortunately that is not enough aid for me to attend. farewell NEU :(

silly me…i forgot chicago has CST and MA has EST. sigh…guess i won’t find out until even later because i have gymnastics. oh well. don’t want that agonized waiting-for-portal-to-load-but-it-won’t-work-because-too-many-people-are-on feeling anyway!
