Hopefully it is fate! :)

@weepingmermaid is correct

can’t believe that we are only a little over two days away…

Just got rejected ED ! Last hope U of C ! Although my sat is too low for it 2000 !!

Does anyone else feel like staying in bed till decisions come out?

being at school while waiting isn’t helping. i just want to sit at home and listen to music and watch movies

I am reading Astronomia Nova to pass time…hopefully the cosmic ideas will blunt the pain of the eventual rejection.

Good morning–parent here with a bit of unsolicited advice: tempting as it is, please don’t check your admission decision at school, at practice, at a club meeting, at Starbucks with friends etc. Just be patient and do it in the comfort of your home where you will have support if it is a rejection and total elation, jumping up and down with mom/dad/sibs if it’s an acceptance. Then you can have time to let it sink in. I’m speaking from experience. Two years ago when my oldest D was a senior, her HS had 16 kids apply to Northwestern and one girl checked the decision at school (rejected) and had a very public breakdown. It was definitely an awkward situation and she was such a mess that she had to go to the nurse’s office.

My D is also applying EA to UChicago and I keep telling her that a rejection does not define you as a person. It’s just a moment in time that will pass.

It’s a big accomplishment finishing the UChicago app and as Wayne Gretzky said, “you miss 100% of the shots you don’t take”, so congrats to all of you who have made awesome applications and great essays and best of luck on Wednesday.

@DavidTaleb Weird, I started reading Faust and hoping for a helpful demon to contact me.

@michaelt0101 Marlowe or Goethe?

@Awflapjackz I feel the same way, I just want to do nothing. I thought that keeping busy would make the time pass more quickly, but it isn’t. I just want to go to sleep and wake up on Wednesday night.

@ogacihcu it’s going to drag on and on…

I can’t beleive we find out Wednesday. I’ve just been looking at this college for so long and it’s kind of strange to think that it may not be an option in 72 hours.

More and more disheartening by the minute, I can’t even right now. If only I had tried harder on my application!!! GAH!

Time passer: What did you guys write your essays on?

so, yeah. years of dreaming can be crushed by just logging into an account on wednesday!!!

I’m nervous but I think a lot of you take yourselves too seriously. It might ruin a perfectly good Wednesday or make it one of the best Wednesdays in recent memory, pero calmaos.

Did anybody do the untranslatable word essay?

it seems like the pH and untranslatable essays were less common

I just wrote something under the write your own prompt
