Hi, I was just wondering, how do you overcome a low GPA on the app? I am really interested in attending UChicago, however, my grades aren’t top notch (around 3.5) however I don’t feel that my performance really reflects my ability. How would I state this in my apps, and will the university consider this in the application process?
Why do you think UChicago is for you? Can you enunciate this? Write a carefully edited and thought out essay on this topic and submit it somewhere in your application. Finish this semester at school as strongly as you can. Apply to a variety of schools (using the usual advice of reach, low reach, match, etc), then let the chips fall. Best of luck to you.
