Hello everyone, I'm a junior in high school and I really want to go to UChicago. My GPA is only 3.6(unweighted) and 4.3(weighted). Is there a chance that I can get in the school? Any other suggestions for me to increase my chances?
Thanks!

Do not spend lots of time worrying about getting into college and focus more on discovering who you are. Colleges want people who are not afraid to explore the world – or themselves.

That said, get the best grades you can in the toughest courses you can take. Write powerful essays.

I think you are fine.

It depends on your courseload. That’s about my GPA, except with the most challenging courses my school offers. One of my best friends has a 3.9 with all “fluff” classes.

UChicago’s admissions counselors have psychic powers that tell whether a student is a good match for the UofC or not. Trust in them.
