that 70 seems REALLLLY HIGH...how many EA kids got accepted?

also, chicago seriously overenrolled this year for freshman, by like 100 kids...i am surprised they are even taking transfers this yr, most schools when that happens, cut off transfers significantly

um...its a possibility, I AM WAITING FOR UPENN....that will be the deal breaker...if i find out my rejection, than i am booking a flight to chicago in the next week to visit

idk...they aren't tellin me, until June 2....a lot of ppl have heard so far, like first wave, all acceptances, second wave, this morning, all rejections, idk what to think, and i have a columbia and duke waitlist as well to pursue

On the phone:
Me:"Hey Jerry it's xxxx, I just wanted to see if the committee had made a decision on my app yet?"
Jerry:"Well it looks like there still isn't a decision, let me walk this into them right now because they are meeting for the rest of the day. If they make a decision by the end of the day I will call you and let you know."

the fact that 70 were accepted yesterday really makes me believe that those who haven't received their decision yet aren't going to be offered a spot.

If that's the case, uh oh... I don't know why though because I got into Chicago for freshman admission and I also got into some ivies for transfer this year.

Oh, Chimaera, there's hope for me yet! Thank you!

And, of course, congratulations.

I'm still waiting for Jerry to call me back. I'm on campus, but I don't want to catch a bus home until I hear from him, because I don't want to look like a crazy lady when I get news (good or bad).

I am really curious about what is going on in the admissions office. Assuming Jerry does not lie intentionally, what could possibly be going on that would make him so dead wrong in almost every announcement he makes?

Did anyone observe last years transfer admissions? Are they always late like this?
