<p>so i just messaged my admissions counselor to change my preferred major (computer science) to my alternate major (informatics) and vice versa…reason i did so was because im missing a few pre-reqs for computer science, but have all of the pre-reqs complete for informatics…my plan is to just get into uci and change my major later…what do you guys think was that a dumb move by me or was that good?</p>

<p>I’ve been accepted (got mine a few weeks ago) and I haven’t gotten that email. Also how do you know if you’ve been accepted under TAG, cause I applied for it but I did not/will not fulfill it.</p>

<p>random question… if you don’t get accepted into your preferred major because you don’t have a high enough gpa or what not, is it possible to get accepted to my alternate major because its not as competitive and because it may not require that high of a gpa??? </p>

<p>Did anyone see any changes in their “my schools” section? It says “please send transcript confirming graduation” in my high school transcript status, and “please send transcript” in my college transcript status. I already sent them months ago and got confirmation of UCI’s receipt, and now they’re asking for transcripts again. I’m a second bacc applicant btw.</p>
<p>Oh and I haven’t received notification on my decision yet.</p>
