<p>Most engineers I know are already accepted in SD. But I only know two who already heard from Irvine. Funny 'cause we live in Irvine too. They’re seriously behind.</p>

<p>basically i went down to uci and had them calculate my gpa and take a look at my transcripts before i even applied and the said im good dont worry blah blah and now it seems i wount get in thats why im mad</p>
<p>yea brippp i hear ya…im lower than you @ 3.01 i think. no tag no igetc. I was in close contact with a rep at my ccc who is also on the admissions board…its nerve racking.</p>
<p>@dotcomguy86 dont you hate the way uci keeps your mind guessing? when i went to uci they said for informatics i dont even need TAG its a sure thing but i dont know i just did TAG coz i didnt trust them i guess but the point is they assure you its not a problem but then when it comes to this time they are not sure you know what im saying</p>
<p>If you have TAG and you meet the reqs you are guaranteed to get in. There are no exceptions.</p>

<p>But to be sure you should have at least a 3.0, 60 completed units (the last 30 completed at a ccc), IGETC completed by the end of this spring, 1 year of college math with a B or better and 1 year of comp sci with a B or better.</p>

<p>From what I’ve read, there are a lot of TAG applicants who are still pending. You should be good though so just hang in there.</p>
<p>Informatics major here as well still pending…3.26 gpa pre-reqs done by the end of spring, igetc done by end of summer</p>
<p>Why are the people with TAG’s freaking out? you have a guaranteed contract so you really need to just stop. as for those who do not have a TAG, I hope that if UCI was your first choice, that you get in! It really sucks to be rejected from your first choice so for all those people who just want to get into UCI just to say ‘they did it’ i feel no pity for u that u have not recieved admittance yet. sorry if it seems like im being rude but its kind of annoying when so many of us actually want to attend UCI.</p>
<p>I want to attend UCI and all, but it’s not my first choice (UCSD is.) That’s all I’m saying. If I don’t get into UCI and end up at UCR, THEN I’ll be ****ed.</p>

<p>Did you apply to SB? If so, did you receive a decision?</p>
<p>I have a 3.03, but did not apply to SB. I applied to UCR (got in, obviously), UCI (pending), UCSD (pending), and then UCLA and UCB for family purposes (obviously not getting in.)</p>
<p>Gotcha. I have a 3.2 and am without a tag. So far I have UC Davis, which I really like over SB. I haven’t heard from SB,SD,and I. </p>
<p>UCSB claims to not even have started evaluating my app.</p>
