So I am currently on the waitlist at UCI and considering sending in an appeal packet based upon the compelling information that I have chosen the wrong major, my fault what an idiot, I know. I applied as a psychology major but I meant to put psychology and behavioral science major. Doesn't sound like a big difference but it really is when it come to being completed with the major pre-reqs. I am missing 5 courses as a psych major and only 2 as a psych and beh. sci. major. Would it be smart to send an appeal or wait it out and if I get accepted just change my major. I can't really seem to find anyone else that had this issue other than those already admitted to the college.

yes send it in

It would be smart to send it. Send it in asap.

This is comparable for applying to Health Science but accidently putting Nursing.

Psychology general is a lot harder to get into.

@bomerr @imaplealot thanks for the replies I really needed some 2nd opinions. I already have my packet ready to go, I just have to pick up transcript and send it out.

@moniiique — HI. just have a question ? We can appeal when we are in the wait list? Thank you:)

@AJYZPLEZ from what i have read, you can absolutly appeal while waitlisted. As long as you have something to share with the appeal people that is new and compelling.
