@CAHLOS
As per the tag checklist for UCI that you may have agreed during the submission of tag: one requirement is to-
“I have earned a minimum GPA of 3.4 in all UC-transferable coursework by the end of the summer 2018 term and will maintain GPA of 3.4 in all UC-transferable coursework for all subsequent terms.”
Therefore, you need to maintain a 3.4 GPA for all the UC-transferable coursework.
Also, they state that if you do not meet tag criteria, you may be competitive as a general transfer. So there is always a chance, don’t lose hope.
“Students who do not meet UC Irvine’s TAG criteria may still be competitive for admission to UC
Irvine as a general transfer applicant. If, for any reason, you are unable to meet the conditions of
the TAG, an offer of admission will depend on your completion of transfer admission requirements
and selectivity in the applicant pool.”
@aqualewd21 I believe they do. I read somewhere that H2H applicants received an email stating that decisions would be released early Spring. Did you get this email?
Also, I messaged admissions and you need a 3.4 overall by the end of the term. I thought it was kinda ambiguous and was worried that they meant a 3.4 in each subsequent term.
@CAHLOS I am also happy to know that I found someone who is also in my shoes too! Python was definitely not my cup of tea! ~O) Also as part of the agreement of TAG, maintaining a 3.4 GPA in all UC transferable coursework is mandatory in order to keep your TAG status. Yet, if you do not reach this gpa your TAG will be revoked, but your overall application will just be put into the normal applicate pool (non tag/freshman). I really hope this helps, but do not hesitate to ask more questions or clarification! We are in this together!
We should connect because it is really nice to now that there is someone here in my exact situation. Yeah, I dropped it because I really did not like the class. Coding is not for me lol.
@Kon824 i think you need a 3.7 gpa throughout and complete your cc’s honors program to be nominated. here’s a link if it helps http://honors.uci.edu/transfaq/
The UCI portal will be going down for server maintenance from 1:20 am to 2:00 am. I don’t think it means anything about decisions coming out soon but I can’t help hoping it does lol
I actually went to bed at 10 and woke up from a nightmare of getting rejected by UCI and UCSB, now I can’t fall back asleep and I have class in the morning
