I got in to both for basically a bio major..which should i choose?

UCD it has the better bio program

Visit the websites of each school and check out the bio faculty and the courses. They may differ in the areas of strength. I think Irvine has always had strong neurobiology.

Does University of Washington have a better bio program? I got in there as well

Both UCD and UCI are excellent for biology, and they are both mid-tier UCs overall. So I think your decision really comes down to where you want to live for four years.

Speaking as a UCD grad who lived in Orange County for many years:

Advantages of UCD: The classic College Town experience - small town located half way between the bright lights of the Bay Area and the ski slopes of Tahoe.

Disadvantage of UCD: Hotter in the summer and colder & wetter in the winter.

Advantage of UCI: Better weather. Located in a bigger city - if big is an advantage for you.

Disadvantage of UCI: Much more of a commuter school than UCD.

Good luck!

Anyone else have opinions?

UC Davis Aggies

UCD for the biological sciences.

all things considered i would personally choose UCI for its up and comming reputation, location and strength in sciences. Davis has a better ranked bio program however and is a good school as well.

oh, you got into u of washington.... scratch my last post, I personally would go to university of washington.
