Trying to decide between UCI and UCD

<p>I am from Northern California and I am having a really hard time choosing between UCI and UCD.
UCD is closer to home, but from the 3 times I have visited I haven't loved it. I visited UCI once and loved it. But now I am worried that I may not love UCI as much as I thought I did...
I have been told that UCD is better for biological sciences, and that is what I am currently interested in. So, I don't know if I should just go to UCD (which I wasn't crazy about, but I didn't hate) for the biological science programs or go to UCI because I loved it the one time I went there...
Another one of my major concerns is that I will be bored or something on the weekends when I stay on campus and everyone else goes home...</p>

Liked the vibe
Would be able to grow
Liked the town around
Would be able to live and see a new area, get to have new experiences and met new and different people
Close to Disneyland
I am actually excited to go there…maybe</p>

Maybe I didn’t really love the campus
Far away from home-wouldn’t be home unless Spring, Thanksgiving, Winter, or Summer break- miss a lot- far away from everyone…
Worse biological science program
Commuter school?</p>

<p>I’m from SoCal and I’m actually making the same decision, except I’m leaning towards UCD [strangely for a lot of the same pros you listed for UCI, except for the Disneyland thing] Actually, I was told that if you wanted to go into biological sciences, <em>Irvine</em> would be the better choice. I’m not sure about it’s vet program, but I think bio = UCI. Irvine has a reputation as a commuter school, but from what I’ve seen I don’t think that’s the reality. I’m sure the campus doesn’t completely empty as soon as school is over, and I doubt UCD would be that much better. If you feel as if you’d feel more comfortable at Irvine [and it really is a great place - plus a bunch of my friends are going there and I can vouch that they are really awesome :D] then you should go there. Don’t go to a school that you feel like you wouldn’t be thrilled to go to.</p>
