My son received the supplemental from UCB, UCLA and now UCI. We don’t know what to make of it anymore he filled them out to the best of his ability and now we are sitting back waiting. No sense stressing over something we no longer have any control over and he’s already been accepted to his back up school (Cal Poly Engineering). Funny thing is I though he would get the borderline supplemental but all three were the special talent supplement.

Supplements don’t mean anything in terms of being accepted/rejected. I know many people who received supplements from UCI last year, half of them got in, half of them got rejected. I wouldn’t worry about not receiving a supplement because sometimes they give you a supplement even if you’re well qualified or totally under qualified. It’s supposed to be because you’re on the borderline or they want additional information, but in the past years, the people who have received supplements have had completely varied stats. Again, I wouldn’t worry. Good luck to all you guys! I hope you get in to the school you want. :)
